Creamer Media 

Creamer Media are publishers of the respected Engineering News, Mining Weekly and Polity. Launched in 1994, polity.org.za is one of South Africa's oldest web-sites. It was revitalised in 2002, when taken over by Creamer Media, and continues to be an important source of information and resource materials for South Africa's policy and research community.

Engineering News Online is a unique 'real economy news' web site. It is updated daily with project, product, policy and personality news from around South Africa and the rest of the continent Mining Weekly Online is similarly updated daily with mining and related industry news. In addition to a transcript of publishing editor Martin Creamer's Friday radio slot on SAFM, a selection of content from the print edition of Mining Weekly is updated on the web site each week.

Subscribers to Creamer Media's Research Channel online have a unique source of business information at their fingertips.The Research Channel Online is an important business resource providing intelligence on industry and mining in Africa. Detailed reports on key industrial sectors such as steel, electricity, defence and telecommunications, as well as on important African minerals including gold, platinum, diamonds and copper.

What we did:
Prefix Technologies has audited the Creamer Media content management system and additionally installed and created advertisement tracking system. The audit report compiled by Prefix Technologies for Creamer Media involved an assesment of Creamer Media content management system.

In 2006 (in partnership with Freeside Internet Services) Prefix Technologies undertook a complete overhaul of Creamer Media's web, intranet and working environment hardware and software. This project entails the building of an entire process from the ground up; providing Creamer Media with a complete publishing solution. This is a project of huge proportions, with the launch of the entire project due in 2007.
